ONLINE FORUM: The Spirit of ‘76 with Alexander Salter

In 1776, American independence marked the dawn of a new experiment in liberalism and republican government. Since then, as the United States has grown in virtually every aspect, much of that initial enthusiasm toward the principles of liberty have dissipated. With his 2023 book, The Spirit of ‘76: Libertarianism and American Renewal, Professor Alexander Salter explores the classical liberal foundations of the American spirit, and how it’s still relevant today.

Young Voices invites you to join the first of three online forums as part of our America 250 summer author series with Professor Salter to ask questions regarding his book and engage in a conversation about the future of the classical liberal tradition. Join us Wednesday, May 6th at 12:00pm ET!
