Named after the Ancient Greek public place of assembly, Young Voices’ Agora Fellowship followed in its namesake’s footsteps with grace. The four-month program took five international writers and helped them further develop their fundamentals of advocacy.Through media mentorship from Young Voices’ staff and outside mentors, our five fellows were cumulatively able to successfully self-pitch four articles for publication and try their hand out at broadcast interviews twice on TV and podcast.From Mauricio Bento’s commentary at Libertarianism.org to Abdulsamod Balogun’s editorial in Business Insider by Pulse, the Agora fellows proved their prowess from a variety of international topics.Please find below a quick synopsis of our fellows and their accomplishments this season:Mauricio Bento is a Brazilian libertarian who helped found Students For Liberty Brazil and Novo, the country’s first classical liberal party. He wishes to inspire change in Africa and Nigeria through public policy research and advocacy.
