Abdullah Hayek is a Washington-based Middle East analyst with a distinct global perspective shaped by his experiences across Jordan and the United States. Born and raised in Amman, Abdullah relocated to the U.S. in 2017 to pursue higher education, earning a BA in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, in 2021 and later an MA in International Relations from San Francisco State University in 2023. During his graduate studies, he served as a Teaching Assistant and Internship Coordinator for the International Relations Department Chair, where he honed his academic skills and supported student mentorship.
Abdullah’s professional journey is marked by prestigious internships and positions in policy and research. He contributed to Middle East research at The Heritage Foundation’s Allison Center for Foreign Policy Studies, advocated for refugees with CARE International in Jordan, and supported diplomatic research at the Embassy of Jordan in Washington, D.C. Most recently, he held a critical role as a Research Assistant within the Military and Security Studies Program at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, where he focused on regional security challenges.
Fluent in Arabic and English, Abdullah offers a bicultural insight that enhances his work, positioning him as an impactful voice on Middle Eastern geopolitics and U.S. foreign policy.
