Young People in Recovery
Brian Nuckols holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and is a Jungian psychotherapist turned journalist. With a career rooted in helping individuals navigate mental health and addiction challenges, Brian has seen firsthand how government regulations and systemic inefficiencies create barriers to care. His experience spans both clinical practice and years of fundraising for mental health nonprofits, where he encountered numerous obstacles caused by bureaucratic red tape that stifled innovation and limited resources.
As a journalist, Brian draws on this dual perspective to write about the intersection of healthcare, mental health, and public policy, advocating for solutions that prioritize consumer choice and individual agency. Whether addressing the opioid crisis or rethinking mental health care delivery, his work emphasizes how empowering individuals and communities leads to better outcomes than top-down, bureaucratic approaches.
In addition to his clinical and fundraising experience, Brian brings a Jungian perspective to his writing, offering unique insights into the deeper psychological and societal dimensions of today’s challenges. He is passionate about highlighting how liberty and choice can transform healthcare, creating systems that are both effective and compassionate.
