Young Voices - Dissident Project

Daniel was born and raised in Venezuela, where he went to high school and experienced the terrible consequences of Socialism. In 2016, Daniel was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, where he is currently a junior majoring in Quantitative Economics. During his two years in college, Daniel has worked part-time at the Office of International Affairs, presided his residential council, and founded the Model United Nations student group. He is currently an intern at Economic Policies for the 21st century, part of the Manhattan Institute, through the Charles Koch Internship program. As grandson of Italian and Spanish immigrants in Venezuela, Daniel loves eating Mediterranean food, and some of his hobbies are lifting weights and doing outdoor activities.
