Gabriel Benitez

Gabe Benitez is a fundraising professional at the University of Chicago. He specializes in foundation and corporate relations, serving as a chief researcher and solicitation partner for the Booth School of Business and the Law School. Before moving to the Windy City, Gabe worked at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C., where he gained experience in donor research, grant writing, project management, and more. A former Students for Liberty campus coordinator, Gabe has been involved with the liberty movement since 2014. His policy interests include foreign policy, immigration, criminal justice, urban policy, taxation, and free speech. He received a Masters degree in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics in 2018. In his free time, Gabe enjoys playing one of his many stringed instruments (guitar, banjo, ukulele, and mandolin), cooking, reading, biking, and exploring Chicago. A native of Southern California, he is a loyal (if often frustrated) fan of both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as Chelsea F.C.
