Kyle Moran
Kyle Patrick Moran is a distinguished graduate of the University of Rhode Island, having earned his degree summa cum laude in political science and history. Here, his academic accomplishments were recognized with the David Warren Scholarship, awarded to the top five performing political science students.
Having graduated during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kyle landed on his feet by managing an Olive Garden restaurant. He was responsible for overseeing the operations of a restaurant with over 100 employees, including staffing, scheduling, and profit and loss analysis. Despite his achievements, he remained dedicated to his studied field and is currently pivoting careers.
Currently, Kyle contributes to the American Enterprise Institute’s Critical Threats Project. Here, his research skills using sources largely in Persian and Arabic have been showcased through published analyses of recent events.
Having a lifelong passion for international relations, Kyle has travelled throughout the Middle East, including to the West Bank. This has provided him with first-hand insight into regional conflicts are pivotal to U.S. interests that cannot be fully understood from classrooms or books alone.
Kyle’s eclectic blend of strong academic performance, practical managing experience, and well-established research and writing background make him a valuable asset for Young Voices.
