Lora Karch

Lora Karch is a multilingual professional with a background in international relations, public diplomacy, and Middle Eastern affairs. She currently serves as Junior Fellow at Middle East Forum and Senior EA to the President & Board Secretary at Middle East Institute, contributing to policy research, administration, and publications. Lora has worked at esteemed organizations such as the Cato Institute, where she led internal projects, improved internal communications strategies, and supported development efforts. She also served as a Research Associate for The Philos Project, overseeing the Washington, D.C. branch of the Charles Malik Institute.
With an MA in Public Diplomacy from University of Southern California and a BA in International Relations from the University of California, Irvine, Lora is passionate about bridging the gap between the Middle East and the West, with a focus on fostering dialogue and understanding. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, with beginner knowledge of Assyrian and Greek, she enjoys learning new languages as a way to connect across cultures. Her advocacy for the non-aggression principle informs her work on foreign policy, where she seeks peaceful solutions to global challenges.
Lora is also deeply influenced by Stoicism, which guides her approach to personal and professional challenges, emphasizing resilience, self-discipline, and a focus on what can be controlled.
