Yaniv Regev is a graduate student in the Democracy & Governance M.A. program at Georgetown University. He was born in the U.S. and raised across Israel, the UK, and Australia. He graduated as valedictorian from Randolph-Macon College with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy, earning a 4.24 GPA and membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, and the college Honors Program .
Yaniv has held policy, legal, and academic roles, including serving as an intern at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), where he covered geopolitical developments in the Israel–Hamas war, drafted research memos, and contributed to security reports. Previously, he worked as a paralegal in the Criminal Division of the Tel Aviv State Attorney’s Office, preparing legal briefs, analyzing case materials, and coordinating with attorneys and witnesses.
He completed competitive fellowships with the Hudson Institute’s Political Studies Program and AEI’s Summer Honors Program, and conducted full-time research on conservative political thought through the Schapiro Undergraduate Research Fellowship. Yaniv has presented at MPSA, the PPE Society, and multiple regional conferences.
A four-year debater, he served as president of the Franklin Debating Society and now competes on Georgetown’s GU Parliamentary Debate team.
